The Sinkler Miller Medical Association (SMMA) would like to extend to you an invitation to participate in the 28thAnniversary Celebration of the Annual Scholarship Dinner and Dance on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Oakland Marriott City Center, 1001 Broadway, Oakland, California.
On that evening, we will celebrate an incredible 28 years of commitment toward supporting the medical education of African-American students. This event underscores our dedication to medical education. Supporting this event will assist you in achieving your community outreach educational goals. SMMA is planning an exciting and marvelous evening that we are sure you and your guests will enjoy.

The Sinkler Miller Medical Association is an organization of more than 300 African-American physicians. Our primary goal is to provide and advocate for the highest quality of health care for all members of our community, especially the underserved. We believe that encouraging young people to enter health related fields is essential to continuing the legacy of past years. SMMA is a non-profit organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, Tax ID Number 94-3101790. Contributions are tax deductible to the limit allowed by law.
The proceeds from this event will provide scholarships for high school, medical, and nursing students pursuing careers in health care. Including this year, with your support, the organization will have presented more than $705,000 in actual scholarships. Unfortunately, there are more students who need support than we are able to assist.
