Our Mission

Sinkler Miller Medical Association was formed to improve the health care of African American and other minority people in the bay area, as well as retain African American physicians within the area.

The members of Sinkler Miller Medical Association continue to come together to advocate for health care promotion, scholarships for African American students, physician education, mentorship of students and new physicians, public health programs, and recruitment and retention of all African American providers of health care.

This mission is consistent with our state organization (Golden State Medical Association) and the National Medical Association.

We are a member of the National Medical Association and the Golden State Medical Association.

As Sinkler Miller Medical Association looks to the future, embraces technology to proactively respond to the health care challenges we face today and tomorrow, we pause to celebrate our heritage and legacy as a premier organization recognizing the accomplishments of generations of African American physicians. Whether it is responding to disasters, terrorism and emerging disease threats, getting credible medical information on the latest advances of clinical trials and newest treatments, making your office completely paperless, or recruiting, mentoring, and retaining new and younger physicians and medical staff to sustain and expand your practices, we want connecting to Sinkler Miller Medical Association to become one of your favorite in person and internet destinations.

You have helped to realize the dreams and aspirations of so many worthy students to further their careers in health care. In Sinkler Miller Medical Association's 24^th year of honoring  those choosing pursue careers in medicine, nursing, and allied health with an interest in meeting the mission of NMA and Sinkler Miller to eliminate health disparities, enhance the quality of care and promote wellness for African American communities and for all in need of achieving better health and health care we celebrated with world-renowned author and activist Randall Robinson and Comedian Rodney Perry.
